A home for the New Year?

Meet Oliver, (ARPH #10242) or Ollie for short. Ollie is the oldest Australian Shepherd to come through ARPH Ontario at 10 and a half years old. Born July 1997 he is CKC registered.

Ollie has been a bit neglected the past few years but is loving the attention, food and love he's getting in his foster home. The vet said he's doing well and has gained 3lbs already with only another 8lbs more to go.

He's housebroken, crate trained and knows his basic manners. He's fine if left loose in the house and is not destructive. He's willing to please and will do what you ask if he knows how. He's great with cats.

Because of his age and his situation they'd prefer to place him in a home where he'd be the only dog and where he wouldn't have to share any of the attention. He is good with other dogs but tends to push them out of the way to get to the people.

Ollie is an easy guy, mellow in the house loving nothing more than to cuddle on the couch. He's a great traveler and likes to ride in the car. On his walks at the dog park he loves to run and is pretty spry for his age!

Ollie's rescuers are worried that people will pass him by because of his age, yet he still has so much to offer.
