Merry Christmas to ME!!!

Look what I got at work today... The box is bigger than Bullet is!

Here it is having some extra-goodies put inside:

Mix this with my new Adobe CS3 Premium Suite and my soon-to-come monitor I'm a very happy girl this holiday. Sure I'll be expected to be even better, cheaper & faster, but I'm used to that.

Shopping with "Krispy Kreme"

AKA Crispin, a National Service Dog in training.

Our job is to take him out to everyday places like the mall, the movies, the library etc.,

While we do everyday things like shop.

People can't help but touch a cute & happy lab, we understand this, therefore we teach the dog to focus on us. This can be a very hard thing for a people-loving lab to do at times, but they CAN do it!

Now, not running over to meet other dogs, that's an even harder thing to ask of Crispin. Here we meet one of his class-mates, a Golden Retriever who's going back for his official training at the same time as Crispin.

National Service Dogs relies on people just like you and I to foster for them. To read more about puppy-raising, visit the link below. If you feel it's something you'd be interested in you can even apply online:

A home for the New Year?

Meet Oliver, (ARPH #10242) or Ollie for short. Ollie is the oldest Australian Shepherd to come through ARPH Ontario at 10 and a half years old. Born July 1997 he is CKC registered.

Ollie has been a bit neglected the past few years but is loving the attention, food and love he's getting in his foster home. The vet said he's doing well and has gained 3lbs already with only another 8lbs more to go.

He's housebroken, crate trained and knows his basic manners. He's fine if left loose in the house and is not destructive. He's willing to please and will do what you ask if he knows how. He's great with cats.

Because of his age and his situation they'd prefer to place him in a home where he'd be the only dog and where he wouldn't have to share any of the attention. He is good with other dogs but tends to push them out of the way to get to the people.

Ollie is an easy guy, mellow in the house loving nothing more than to cuddle on the couch. He's a great traveler and likes to ride in the car. On his walks at the dog park he loves to run and is pretty spry for his age!

Ollie's rescuers are worried that people will pass him by because of his age, yet he still has so much to offer.

If ARPH approved and interested in hearing more about Ollie, please contact Nicole.

Capture the Kong

The goal of this game is to get the Kong from Bullet. Sounds simple eh?

Our time with Crispin the National Service Dog is nearly up. His recall date is mid January. He's a good dog and we hope he passes his training and gets matched with a lucky kid.
